两个好朋友同时爱上了一个女孩，结果彼此退让，在友情与爱情之中经历了一番考验。看来老套平凡的故事，但因为两个男主角的性格和关系灌注入谭咏麟与曾志伟在银幕下的真性情，因此两人演来特别有感觉，可以说真正擦出了火花，而张曼玉扮演令他们心仪的女孩，表现也相当细腻动人。导演陈可辛用港片中较罕见的清新淡雅手法来处理这个三角恋爱故事，让人看得十分舒服，也使一向只会搞笑的曾志伟用人性化的演出获得一座香港电影金像奖的最佳男主角奖。。Rianne Angers has spent the last nine years obsessing over the vicious murder of Gwen Anderson.
