1992年，中央电视台开办“电视书场”栏目，由汪文华主持，陆续播映了田连元、单田芳、刘兰芳、王林茂、袁阔成等评书大师的作品。 20世纪90年代，电视上出现了一股评书热，从地方台到中央台，很多频道都开播了电视评书类节目。央视的《电视书场》是其中的一个，虽然不是最早的评书节目，但有赖于央视的覆盖面，《电视书场》无疑是影响最广的一个。相信不少人至今能哼唱《电视书场》的片头曲——盘古开天地，地久天长，长话短说，谈古论今…… CCTV-1每天中午12点35分，在播完《新闻三十分》后播出电视书场，每期20分钟。播过的评书包括： 田连元《杨家将》《水浒传》 刘兰芳《朱元璋演义》《岳飞传》 袁阔成《三国演义》《西楚霸王》 单田芳《封神演义》《曾国藩》《栾蒲包与丰泽园》《林则徐》 刘立福《聊斋志异—宫梦弼》 王林茂《罗汉擂》《双合印》 张少佐《豪气惊天》《杨家神枪》等...。Aels, a rich and tempermental woman from the North, moves to Hamburg.
