Medeas is a daring and lyrical exploration of alienation and desperation through the intimate observation of a family's inner lives and their relationship to each other and their environment. Without moral judgment, it probes the boundaries of human behavior and the lengths to which people can be driven for love and self-preservation.。三十年前，来自我国东北某部队的参谋长赵殿坤，在四平二龙湖附近执行任务期间偶然发现了形制特殊的古代陶片，出于对历史和文化的爱好，他收集保存下这些陶片。退伍复员后的赵殿坤选择留在了四平市博物馆工作，围绕二龙湖畔的赫尔苏古城调查取证，虽然陶片越收集越多，但是对它们身份的认定，赵殿坤始终不敢妄自猜测。博物馆举办会议期间，赵殿坤毛遂自荐，找到了考古学专家林沄，林沄见到这些瓷片异常激动，因为通过初步判断，瓷片竟然是战国时期的燕国器物。遥远的东北小城已远离燕北长城所在，竟然在曾经的蛮夷之地出土了燕国器皿，这背后一定隐藏着一段鲜为人知的历史。。
