(Strugatsky Brothers website) NOTES This is a crime / mystery thriller with surreal and psychedelic science fiction overtones based on a book Inspector Glebsky's Puzzle by the Strugatsky brothers. The screenplay was also written by the brothers and it differs from the book. The less you know about the movie the better starting point you have. The film is based largely on the mystery of what's happening to the people of Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Is everything what it seems? Who's dead or who's not?。故事发生在1970年代的中国南方小镇，红旗为了看电影需要借钱，于是她去找收尸工五一爷借钱。五一爷借钱的过程中，偶然目睹了红旗邻家的孪生姐妹大真和小真之一在洗澡。这一瞬间，五一爷被年轻美好的胴体所吸引，这个突如其来的情感引发了他内心的变化，使他重新寻找生活的希望。 随着时间的推移，红旗和五一爷的偷窥行为被揭露，大真为了证明自己的清白，努力与男朋友沟通，但不幸的是，她的努力越来越被误解，反而使情况更加复杂。大真的男朋友最终无法接受她被认为“疯了”的事实，选择离开她。大真被抛弃后，她不得不在一个充满孤独和困难的世界中孤身抗争，因为她的清白和真相仍然没有得到承认。。
